All language is but a poor translation.

   Maybe I’m reading too far into this, but what if the torah/bible/whatever you prefer to call your edition was actually written as a kind of anarchist’s handbook? I mean, you have:

   • the tower of babel—a warning against globalization
   • the sermon on the mount as an exhortation of the monopoly of force
   • opposition to the state: “We must obey God as ruler rather than men”

   feel free to tell me if you think I sound ridiculous.

   (important note: most, if not all of the evidence supporting such a theory can be found in the new testament.)
