Oh my glob, I was totally visualizing the ENTIRE THING happening when I read it yesterday, and I was sitting on a blanket at the park probably making gross faces in response to what I was reading and people were probably looking at me funny.
Like, I sort of want to publish the whole thing as a quote on here so everyone else can see it because it is glorious.
to me it was almost funny in a bizarre way, like when the horse collapsed
the whole time everything just went wrong

i’ve heard a few people say he landed that reputation cuz the early translations were awful? which is ridiculous seeing as his prose is amazing. they must have had to go out of their way to do a bad job.
