Greece: “If we kick out 450,000 fascists there will be space for more immigrants.”

Immigrants arrive because of neoliberalism and are not an absolute good
Fascists arise as a reaction to neoliberalism and are not an absolute evil

you promised me a magical journey. this is clearly dark magic.
who said anything about good and evil (other than you)? i just think this is an amusing image and that fascists need to be confronted wherever they arise. if we disagree on that, i’m coming to your house to take away your Communism card.

Fascists aren’t the enemy, the neoliberals creating the material conditions responsible for both the arrival of immigrants and the fascist reaction are the enemy. So I guess I’ll be waiting for you because you ain’t even prying this card from my cold, dead fingers

Though I agree with you that the material conditions are the ultimate evil we must fight, your tactics and understanding of the superstructure is incredibly off and given the historical connotations of such a position, will end only in disaster. Ultra-leftism may simply end at sounding absurd in our current position, but it was disaserous for Italy and Germany. You can’t simply disregard fighting facism itself and wait around to fight the underlying structure.
Your ultra-leftism will only objectively advance the fascists, and anyone who objectively advances the fascists is no comrade of mine.

wow what a botched understanding of what fascism is. there’s a portion of the population in Greece that’s been systemically fascistshized since the collaborationist governments of Rallis during World War II. that’s number one. number two is that where there’s a systemically fascist portion of a population (not always occupied by the same people, but demographically tends to remain the same during periods of economic crises - rural areas, uneducated youth, upper middle class and middle class people), the issue is no longer “address the material conditions so the fascists go away.” it is not in the interests of many who throw support behind fascist parties like the Golden Dawn to allow a socialist solution to the crisis. fascism is the liberal and neoliberal apparatus in its final articulation of attempting to maintain control over private property come what may. that’s why people like Mises have openly declared “fascism saved the European civilization.”
the fascists won’t go away because they won’t let you address the material conditions. they know very well what they’re doing, they have an invented, perverse, and ultimately uneducated understanding of Greek history, they are vehemently anti-Marxist, this is all basic shit. and as such they won’t just let the communist party in Greece, for example, come to power and address the issues that “gave rise” to them. these people are the reaction not only to the material conditions, but to socialism. unlike the liberals, they do the dirty work and will fight till the end.
